The architect Richard Rogers was presenting his Transbay Terminal and Tower designs to the city of San Francisco. The Rogers team wanted a leave-behind that was memorable and had resonance. The solution was an acid-etched stainless steel sculpture packaged in a sleeve with a small booklet of renderings and quotes from Richard Rogers.
